Day 1:

  • Introduction to the fundamentals of Job Evaluation and Analysis
  • Key topics such as job analysis, job design and classification, job structure and hierarchy
  • Definitions and concepts related to job evaluation including internal and external equity considerations
  • Legal compliance issues such as regulatory requirements, employment laws, collective bargaining obligations and protective legislation.

 Day 2:

  • Developing a comprehensive compensation structure and policy that suits organisational needs
  • Evaluating different pay models such as seniority-based pay, incentive pay plans and performance based pay. 
  • Understanding the importance of incentivizing employees for long term positions

Day 3: 

  • Learning how to use job evaluation techniques and tools such as ranking systems, point systems, factor comparison methods in practice.  
  • Calculating fair compensation for each position within the organisation taking into account relevant factors like skill level, knowledge or experience. 

  Day 4: 

  • Designing Performance Measurement Systems (PMS) which can improve overall job evaluation process.
  • Selecting key performance indicators (KPI) for each position for measuring performance accurately.   
  • Creating a culture of evaluating performance properly.    

   

Day 5: 

Review exercises on the topics covered throughout the course.
