Course Overview

Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) is a powerful tool used by experts to predict the behaviour of any type of fluid (i.e.: liquids, gases, particulate solids, multiphase flow, etc.). Due to the rapid development of the computer capabilities, nowadays CFD is accessible to everyone that has the necessary knowledge, making this discipline very attractive and valuable.

Objective:

In this programme you will:

  •    Learn the basic principles of fluid dynamics
  •    Learn about the mathematical models that describe the fluid flow
  •    Learn about the discretization techniques
  •    Understand the principles of meshing
  •    Understand how to choose between different physical models
  •    Use CFD software performing some simple CFD simulations
  •    Learn how to summarize and present CFD simulation results
